Frederick Bros. Oil & Propane offers several propane tank sizes to meet a wide range of residential and commercial needs. When filled, the volume of propane is approximately 80% of the total tank capacity to allow for expansion.

27 Gallon Worthington Propane Tank

100 Series

A Standard 27-gallon tank holds 23.6 gallons and is generally installed for cooking only.

A standard 50-gallon tank holds 47.2 gallons of propane and is generally installed for residential cooking and clothes drying.

A standard 120-gallon tank holds 99.1 gallons of propane and is generally installed for residential hot water or space heating with sufficient storage if you add a range or clothes dryer.

Underground Tank diagram
